EQUITANA AUSTRALIAN OPEN - REINING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Friday 19th November 2010, 4:00-6:00pm in the NutriRice Grand Pavilion
The EQUITANA Australian Open - Reining, will start early on Friday afternoon, promising to be full of high class competition and enjoyment. Held within the 4500 seat purpose built NutriRice Pavilion, the EQUITANA Australian Open - Reining will be a gripping world-class event, featuring 15 top Australian Reiners including several NRHA World Champions, all running for an unprecendented $75,000 worth of prize money, so you know they will be showing hard!
Watch these stunning horses perform the most spectacular sliding stops and dizzying 360 degree spins, remembering that loud cheering from the crowd and foot stomping in the stands is strongly encouraged!
To keep excitement levels at an all time high, Pony Express Trick Riding will be joining the amazing reining athletes with their own brand of action packed, highly skilled, dare devil stunts! These professional trick and stunt riders riders will vault, flip, spin and twist whilst the thundering hooves of their mounts pound around the arena. With an exhilarating mixture of gymnastics, beautiful costumes and galloping horses the Pony Express will be guarenteed heart-thumping equestrian entertainment!

EQUITANA AUSTRALIAN OPEN - CUTTING CHAMPIONSHIPS Friday 19th November 2010, 7:30-10:30pm in the NutriRice Grand Pavilion
The unique partnership of cutting horse and rider will be tested in the next phase of the evening during the EQUITANA Australian Open - Cutting.
This heart racing competition to keep a young cow from its herd will have both the horse and the audience's nerves on tenterhooks as 30 of Australia's best cutting horses and riders will showcase their athletic talents competing in an estimated $120,000 prize pool competition.
This event will certainly provide high adrenaline action which will excite even the most placid horse lover.
Queensland’s newest country sensation Shandell Tosoni will bring a wealth of experience, song-writing talent and stunning vocal delivery to the evening when she performs the Australian National Anthem, joining us again a little later on to perform live, tracks from her debut country album ‘Take It Or Leave It’.
