POSTER ART COMPETITION

Instructions for Submitting your Artwork

 

Artwork must meet the following criteria to be considered:

Artwork may be submitted via email in a high resolution jpg file, or a photograph via mail. 

DO NOT SEND IN ORIGINAL ARTWORK. 

All art submissions must be accompanied by a signed Poster Art Competition Entry Form.  For multiple entries please submit seperate forms and images.

Non winners will be notified by mail before July 30th 2010.  No phone calls, please.

Submissions must represent two dimensional media only.  You may submit original works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and mixed media.  No photography, offset photolithography or three dimensional artwork will be accepted.

Winning artwork will be featured on the Official Collector's Poster of EQUITANA Melbourne 2010.  Winner will be credited wherever the artwork is used.  Publicity coverage in the show program will include biographical information, studio/business contact information, and a photo of the artist.  The artist will not receive any share of the poster sales proceeds.

EQUITANA Melbourne does not provide the airfare, hotel or expenses for the winner to attend the event.  However, if you win and you decide to attend, EQUITANA Melbourne will provide you with two Super Tickets with a value of $300.00 each, and will arrange and promote signing sessions if you desire.

Sale of Original Art 
If you chose to sell the original art of the winning entry, you must give EQUITANA Melbourne first refusal to purchase the art at a fair price.

Production
The official poster will be designed and produced by EQUITANA Melbourne.  The artist must provide a large format transparency or high resolution scan of the winning art on or before July 1st 2010. 

Commercial Use Restriction
Submitting your artwork consitutes your agreement to give EQUITANA Melbourne royalty-free exclusive rights to commercial use of the artwork chosen as the winner of this contest.  These rights will expire on the 31st of December 2010.  EQUITANA Melbourne may use the artwork for any commercial use without the concession of the artist but will not claim ownership of the intellectual property of the artist.
