STEFFEN PETERS AT DEL MAR

In true form, Steffen Peters has dominated the competition at the Del Mar CDI Grand Prix.  Peters' 12 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding, Ravel, produced a fluid and harmonious tests which won out over the nearest competition of Jan Ebling and the mare Sandriana.  The pair received a 74.511% for the Grand Prix test and 81.300% for the Kür, which is reminiscent of previous dressage scores and impressive since Ravel has not competed since March.

The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games selection trials in August loom ever closer for the highly competitive pair of Steffen and Ravel.  The Del Mar was to be the last CDI that the pair will compete in before the selection, and they could not have asked for a better result.

Whilst his Grand Prix win was yet another feather in Peters and Ravel's already shining career, Steffens future looks bright with some of his less advanced horses.  First and second place in the Prix St George were taken by Peters on Weltino's Magic and Pallas respectively.  We are excited to hear more about the pairings in the future.
