The Opening Night of EQUITANA Melbourne will be the ultimate showcase of both horse and riders ability in various sport disciplines. Appealing to all equine lovers, the All Star Showcase is a fitting start to four exciting days of everything equestrian. Presented by star names such as Steffen Peters (Dressage), William Fox-Pitt (Eventing) Ian Francis (Reining), Rob Hodgman (Cutting), Pete Comiskey (Campdrafting), Suzette Thomas (Polocrosse), Jay Charnock (Mounted Games) and Krystle Lander (Vaulting), this is a special occasion that brings these disciplines together to both educate and entertain. This night time program is two and a half hours of non-stop entertainment, giving you the opportunity to see the top talents of nine different disciplines interact together as one. Enjoy seeing tips and tricks from these professional horsemen and women, learning what makes them and their mounts so different from each other, whilst also focusing on the similarities between them all. Western will meet English, two disciplines that are usually seen as magnetic opposites will come together side by side, and closer! How will a specialist horse react to a professional rider from another discipline? How will a professional rider cope with a horse trained to another discipline? You, the audience will be able to help us decide! For horse lovers of all ages, the entire family will enjoy seeing the All Star Showcase featured within the 4,500 seat, purpose built NutriRice Grand Pavilion, located at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The All Star Showcase will be fun and games combined with entertainment and music to round out a joyful end to the first day of EQUITANA Melbourne 2010.
