Being a volunteer at EQUITANA Melbourne is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the many different aspects of the equine event as well as enjoy working with a great team and a wide range of equine industry experts and leaders.

As event organizers, we recognize that volunteers are a crucial part of the smooth running and success of the event. We appreciate everyone who is willing to be involved and support EQUITANA Melbourne 2010.

We are currently seeking approximately 200 enthusiastic, passionate people to work at the event. In exchange for your services rendered you will be given a volunteer pack full of various goodies including an official “Hygain EQUITANA Helper” back pack with t-shirt, water bottle, cap, vest and a ticket to a clinic of your choice! 

With various jobs available from customer service to working in the stables there is sure to be a job for you! You will be able to indicate the area that you are most interested in on the application form. The choices are the following:

• Competition - assistance with competition set ups and running
• Education - assistance with running of educational areas
• Exhibition – assistance with the operation of information stand & customer service
• General Office Administration - assisting organisers as required, could include VIP assistance
• Evening programs in Grand Pavilion – assistance with ushering and arena set up
• Stables & Breeders Village – assistance with general stable duties
• Transfer Team – assistance with escorting horses and their handlers throughout venue
• “Floater” – combination of all above mention duties

Preference will be given to volunteers who are able to work 4 shifts during the event. Each shift goes for approximately 5 hours and there are three shifts on each day to choose from.

Briefing session is additional to the shift availability and it is compulsory to attend (The briefing will take place on Wednesday 17^th November at the Melbourne Showgrounds, you will be able to nominate the preferred time of attendance)
