Waler Horse Society of Australia
Stable: , Horsey People Breed Village
EXHIBITED BY Waler Horse Society of Australia.
Famed as the mount of the Australian Light Horse, The Waler horse is a strong warmblood type originating from the diverse mix of pony, draught, coach and saddle horse breeds introduced into Australia prior to the mid-1940s. Horses originating from remote outback stations with a history of breeding for the remount trade formed the basis of the WHSA Foundation Waler Horse Register when the Society was established in 1986.
