I’m Jess from Performance Pilates and I am a qualified Pilates Instructor with over 13 years experience.
I teach riders of all ages and disciplines how to train their bodies off the horse at my purpose built Studio in the Macedon Ranges. I run position clinics for riders too, where I use video analysis to help the rider understand how they can improve their position via Pilates based strength and conditioning exercises. I have been riding since I was a little girl, but stepped away in my late teens and early twenties to become an elite level rower, culminating in representing Australia.
I have thoroughly enjoyed resuming my riding in the last 10 years and to be able to combine it with my other great love (teaching Pilates) has been hugely rewarding. But perhaps most satisfying is seeing the tangible changes in my riders and the development of more harmonious horse/rider combinations.

Using her 14 years of experience teaching everyone from elite athletes to recreational riders, she hopes to share her knowledge to help you become more effective in the saddle and more aware of how your position can impact your horse.
Core stability training – building stronger partnerships
Performance Pilates professional instructor, Jess Morrison, will present on the significance of training the rider’s body comprehensively, away from the horse.
This interactive presentation will explore exercises that the rider can undertake to strengthen and lengthen the muscles required for good riding, and explain how they can make a profound difference to the partnership with your horse. Your horse will love you for it!
