The Mane Event on Saturday night is the highlight of EQUITANA and will be an action-packed night of fun and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Sam Powers, the five-time Magician of the Year and Australia’s top contemporary illusionist, will perform Australia’s first equine illusion created specifically for EQUITANA. Sam’s magic and illusions are guaranteed to blow your mind and make you question your reality.

David Manchon, the star of sell out shows around Australia including “Australian Outback Spectacular” and “The Rooftop Express”, will debut a slice of his new show and leave everyone on the edge of their seats as he displays his horsemanship and showmanship skills.

The creative equine genius of Dan Steers and Dan James ‘Double Dan Horsemanship’ will delight with their show that includes horsemanship, trick riding, comedy and a whole lot more! This entertaining duo will leave everyone wanting more and more.

Friday is Double Dressage Day commencing with the Pedro Torres Dressage Masterclass, presented by the world champion Working Equitation specialist from Europe at 9.30 am.

Friday night see Australia’s best dressage combinations competing for $30,000 in prize money. Presented by Mulawa Performance Horses and Longvue Dressage, come and see the Aqualuma Grand Pavilion be turned into a dancefloor. Thursday night is Full Flight night, with ten of Australia’s top showjumpers competing at the EQUITANA Melbourne Puissance Wall for prize money of $80,000 for anyone who can break the 39-year-old world record of 2.32 metres set by Gavin Chester.

The thrilling Fiber Fresh Speed Knock Out Championships will also enthrall the crowd.

Prior to the showjumping, mini equine duo Crunchtime and Lippy, will guide the crowd and the elite jumpers through the slalom course, albeit at slightly altered heights. Their owner and EQUITANA Melbourne Social Ambassador, Hannah Pikkat will show us why they are an Instagram sensation worldwide: @1itscrunchtime1

Then, sit back and enjoy the ‘EQUI-Talent’ winner, Amelia Strivens perform horse archery in a professionally-produced routine guaranteed to immediately propel them into the stratosphere of equine entertainment.

On Sunday at 1.30 pm, don’t miss the Horsemanship Masterclass held by Stacy Westfall from the US, a champion and living legend in the Reining world, a record breaker in a colt-starting competition, a YouTube sensation and a popular guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show. In 2018, she plans to present at only two expos and her visit to EQUITANA Melbourne in November will be the only demonstration outside of the United States. It is a privilege to have Stacy return to EQUITANA after her first visit in 2011.

Then, finish off four amazing days of equine magic with the final of the IRT All-Star The Way Of The Horse, EQUITANA’s premier horsemanship competition. Watch as four previous champions take four unhandled horses from wild to willing and then present their horses in an unmissable final on Sunday evening.
