The donkey is a domesticated equine derived from the African wild Ass. First tamed around 600 years ago, they are now found all over the world.They are a sturdy equine with distinctive long ears, and stiff mane, and a fly whisk tail. They range in size from tiny Mediterranean Miniatures to the large American Mammoth Jackstock, and come in a wide array of colours apart from the well known grey with a black dorsal stripe. They are famous for their endearing temperaments and their musical bray!
