Dr Rebecca Hill, Dr Jenna Norrie & Dr Stephen Porter

Rebecca: Riding and teaching in both Australia and the UK as her previous career before qualifying as a Registered Osteopath, and completing the post graduate diploma in ABM. Involved in helping to teach the course and now working full time treating both humans and horses, with special interest in treating both horse and rider as a combination. Jenna: Based in Newcastle, NSW Jenna is a long term equestrian rider, in both New Zealand and Australia. Qualified as a registered Osteopath and completed the post graduate diploma in ABM. Involved in helping to teach the course. Now working full time treating both humans and horses, with special interest in treating both horse and rider as a combination. Steve: Based in Mid Coast, NSW Steve has 35 years clinical experience as an Osteopath including teaching and lecturing both nationally and internationally, at a post graduate and university level. Has been involved in teaching both the animal chiropractic, and was involved in the creation of the Animal Biomechanical Course. Steve also treats both horse and rider.

Education Session

Biomechanical treatment and management of the equine athlete

We are 3 qualified Animal Biomechanical Professions and lecture at the ABM post graduate course. Treatments can be performed either simultaneously or sequentially with 2 horses. Includes 3 presenters in the ring and a vet will be present. Demonstration of compromised equine mechanics that has been deemed safe to treat by a qualified veterinarian, also teaching at the ABM course. Demonstration includes biomechanical assessment and treatment of the horse. Discussion of biomechanical analysis Post treatment exercise and rehabilitation Demonstration includes 2 horses, aiming to show the benefit of Animal Biomechanical Medicine treatment.
