You Are What You Eat!
You are what you eat! The importance of gut health in horses. We have learnt so much in the last 10 years about the importance of gut health and the role the gut plays in all aspects of equine health. This talk will focus on:
- How to maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract
- Feeding for different disease conditions
- What is leaky gut
- Gastric ulceration revisited
As a nutritionist in the field, one of the most common problems I deal with for horse owners is poor gut health and diseases like gastric ulceration. The prevalence and reoccurrence of these problems is too high and I strive to help educate people on how to successfully prevent, treat and manage these conditions so that they don’t keep reoccurring.
