Horse health / Care
Amanda Edwards is founder and Director of the Equine Care Clinic and Equine – E Care.
Amanda realised that horse owners were not confident in looking after their sick or injured horses and worried that they might make things worse, that their horse might not get better. To help them Amanda opened the Equine Care Clinic in 2010 to provide recovery care for sick or injured horses when their owners could not. In 2014 she wrote the book, First Response – A Practical Guide to Caring For Your Sick or Injured Horse.
She holds one day First Response workshops and lectures at the Australian College of Equine Podiotherapy on Horse First Aid and Emergency Response. In 2018 Amanda and her team launched the Healthy Horse Membership to give access to credible and practical information to horse owners all over the world. Amanda is a popular presenter at Equitana Australia and New Zealand delivering information in a way that is interesting, easy to understand and applicable to horse owners at all levels.

Horse Wounds – Myths busted
Horses and wounds almost go hand in hand and they seem to be practiced in the art of injuring themselves at the most inopportune times.
When they do you will be faced with many choices and opinions about the best wound management products to use. In fact, in a recent review of a post on facebook one horse owner received 174 pieces of advice about the best way to manage her horse’s wound. Only four people gave advice likely to help with the rest likely to hinder or harm.
Amanda Edwards specialises in healing complex horse wounds. In this talk she busts the myths surrounding horse wound healing and gives advice you can confidently use and apply.
