Amanda Edwards
Horse Health / Care
Amanda Edwards is a well known expert in practical and evidence-based Horse First Aid and Horse Health Care. As the founder and Director of the Equine Care Clinic and Equine – E Care, Amanda recognised a common concern among horse owners: their lack of confidence in caring for their sick or injured horses, often fearing they might make things worse or hinder their horse’s recovery. In response to this need, Amanda and her family established the Equine Care Clinic in 2010, providing specialised recovery care for horses when their owners were unable to do so.
Amanda authored the book “First Response – A Practical Guide to Caring For Your Sick or Injured Horse,” offering a valuable resource for horse owners facing health challenges with their beloved horses. She further shares her expertise through her online Horse First Aid program, by conducting one-day Horse First Aid workshops as well as delivering lectures on Horse First Aid and Emergency Response at the Australian College of Equine Podiotherapy.
Amanda’s dedication to supporting horse owners extends beyond physical care. In 2018, she and her team launched the Horse First Aid Program, a global initiative offering horse owners credible and practical information to enhance their understanding of horse health.
With her wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of horse wounds, recovery care, and overall health, Amanda is highly regarded as a go-to expert. Her presentations at EQUITANA Australia and New Zealand are popular as she imparts information in an easily understandable and applicable manner.
Amanda’s passion lies in bridging the gap between evidence and practice, ensuring that horse owners are equipped with the tools and knowledge to provide the best care for their equine companions
