In this round pen demonstration, the audience will learn how to identify goat-on-a-rock posture, what problems it causes for the horse, and through demonstration, learn how we can positively change posture by trimming the horse’s feet to specific parameters and use glue-on composite shoes to further achieve our goals.

Your Hoof Superpower: X-ray Vision
We often struggle to know whether our horse’s feet are healthy, even if they are sound.
In this power point presentation the audience will learn to understand and use six Foundation Hoof Types derived from Daisy’s extensive database of hoof photographs and corresponding radiographs collected over the last 20 years of hoof care work. The Foundation Hoof Types illustrate using easily identifiable external hoof landmarks to confidently deduce specific internal anatomy and balance. The audience will be able to identify what is ‘ideal’ vs. what could be problematic for the horse immediately as well as over time, and use this as a communication tool with the farrier and veterinarian.
